Thank you for our 3rd excellent three night stay at The Lions in the great little town of Newark. Pablo and John are genial hosts, consistent with their genuine warm welcome, doing everything possible to make the stay relaxing and better than home from home. The twin room at the back is quiet with plenty of drawer and wardrobe space and with a view down onto the pretty garden that is beautifully kept. All facilities are superbly clean, beds are wonderfully comfy with quality linen. Guests are treated as individuals with needs such as dietary requirements catered for with care, consideration and attention to detail. The delicious breakfasts are more than ample with lovely fruit salad platters that are different every day and a choice of quality ingredients cooked to order plus Pablos home made preserves. The hosts are friendly and knowledgeable about the area but it should also be said that people in the town, shop assistants, cafe and restaurant staff etc also seem so pleasant and accommodating in the nicest way. For visits to Newark and surrounding area the search for perfect accommodation ends here! We have already started arranging our stay for next years seasonal shopping trip; The Lions is second to none!
