I would love to be able to give Stubton 5 stars, the staff were fantastic and the food was excellent. Our wedding was amazing here and it is such a stunning venue. However, there were some problems which would need to be addressed to get 5 stars. In some rooms the water pressure was non-existent. In the bridal suite as well as other rooms the water would not stay hot, not great when you're trying to relax or wash a ton of hairspray out of your hair, especially in winter! Some of the rooms, despite being booked a long time in advance had not had the heating turned on or the air con was on auto meaning some rooms were as cold as 9C during the night. While the staff did everything they could to improve things this shouldn't have been an issue that the guests or the bride and groom had to deal with on the weekend of their wedding, especially considering the venue and room price. With a bit of work this venue could be 5* and I'm sure in summer things could have been better. Despite the problems, everyone complimented the staff on how helpful and friendly they were, how good the food was) and how much there was!) as well as what a stunning venue it is.
Went to a lovely wedding here. The day was fabulous. We went back to look for ourselves and the lady was nearly 30 mins late with a forced apology l. Their whole website says were expensive but we are courteous. We certainly didnt get that impression. The venue however is amazing with fantastic grounds.
First class for an an event or wedding.The manager, Lee, is very efficient and the place is spotless. Christmas trees are up as well as lots of traditional decorations. Bedrooms are first class, although I found mine to be slightly dark which makes getting ready a challenge at this time of year. However, the rooms are better than any other hotel for miles.This isnt a hotel as such, and is perfect for a private event, small corporate event or a wedding. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great looking venue. Looks a bit space from the front. But staff look after you throughout the day
Went for a friend's wedding and it was a beautiful setting. Quick service at the bar, plenty of staff on to look after guests. Highly recommend
