First visit to Newark and found Balmforths by chance. So glad we did. Lovely large coffee and good varied menu. My husband and I wanted brunch, breakfast omelette and eggs and bacon on a bagel. Both delicious. Lovely music and the service was friendly and very efficient. Will definitely visit again.
Never open when I walk past before 4.55pm. I guess it closes much earlier than the advertised 5pm.Updated following review response:Actually always closed 5-10 minutes early, not sometimes, every day. 1 star awarded for ultimate customer service failure (wanting to get home early rather than serve potential customers). I can't even try the coffee to review it. Stay open and ready to serve until 5pm as advertised (which will be an improvement), I will be able to buy some drinks, and I will re-evaluate my review.
I had a full English breakfast here yesterday and it was absolutely delicious! Cooked fresh and to perfection. The thing that made my day the most was that they sold Yorkshire tea! In my opinion, the best and only tea. I would love to go back here again. It's a shame there isn't one in Leeds though.
